Hotel Paro

Amba Paro

Amba Paro was designed as a modern interpretation of Bhutanese living and hospitality. The architecture of the property is inspired by Ta Dzong, Bhutan’s National Museum, which is reflected through the hotel’s distinctive circular structure and traditional earthen exterior. This immediately gives the property a strong sense of identity within the Paro Valley. What makes Amba unique is the balance between tradition and modern comfort. While the property feels deeply Bhutanese in character, the interiors, lighting, room design and overall guest experience were intentionally created to feel calm, contemporary and internationally refined. The hotel follows a philosophy of quiet luxury rather than excess. Instead of multiple room categories, Amba offers 36 spacious rooms built around one consistent standard of comfort and quality for all guests. One of the property’s greatest strengths is its location. Amba overlooks the Paro Valley with uninterrupted panoramic views of Tiger’s Nest Monastery and on clear days, the peak of Jomolhari. The setting, combined with the architecture and atmosphere of the property, creates a guest experience that feels both intimate and distinctive.
